We measure something so abstract as time in days, months and years as is easier for us to shape it. 2020 was no ordinary “year”, not in perception or in facts. So I was reflecting and looked back. Winter had lights, Berlinale film festival and music in Berlin. After that, Spring was marked by uncertainty. Summer was sunnier and bohemian in Hamburg, Prague and Munich, and Fall emotional.

Berlin
From all 30 posts published this year, most read were about Berlin, especially neighborhood story of Berlin Mitte. During the first lockdown, I saw a completely different side of Berlin, without tourists. The best way to discover a big city as Berlin is by neighborhoods. Also worth mentioning favorite quarter Prenzlauer Berg or Plan for 2020 back in January (to laugh at my naive expectations vs the reality).

Côte d’Azur. Éclat & Belle chérie
Dreaming in French. When we couldn’t make plans for the summer, I revisited the past and reflected on favorite summer trips where I would like to return, as a Promenade in the South of France.
On the Promenade Maurice Rouvier in St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat I could see Cros deï Pin beach, Eze village, Cap d’Ail and even the coast of Italy and of island Corsica.
Non, je ne regrette rien.

Visit Transylvania
On 3rd place as most read, a dear article from my home country, where I share there recommendations from the heart of Transylvania and one cliché, as usual: Sibiu, Sighişoara, Brașov and apropriately spooky Bran.
“This historic region is synonym with mystery, but travelers must look past Dracula to discover it properly”.

Christmas in Vienna
Briefly living from memories. Vienna is beautiful and elegant. You see everywhere it used to be an imperial capital.
The Christmas Markets in Austria are my favorite from all the markets I ever saw. Why? The Christmas atmosphere compliments the charm of Vienna.

On the coast of somewhere beautiful
First guests post on the website. I was honored to host two popular stories about Sweden written by Anna, an inspirational and close friend. The journey takes us to the cities of Gothenburg and Sundsvall, as well as getaways to nature.
Farewell 2020!
