I feel that I already mix up in my head cities seen in recent months, Strasbourg, Colmar, Baden Baden, Luzern, Zürich, and now Basel and Freiburg, so I must stop a minute to reflect and write some thoughts about each.

Famous for the annual Art Basel fair, taking place usually in June, and being hometown of Roger Federer, the city of Basel has also a beautiful old center.

In Basel you notice immediately that the city is full of culture, with many theaters, museums exhibition centers and art spaces at every corner.

My highlights in Basel have been walking in the Old Town alleys and along the Rhine River, and having lunch at “UM – unternehmenmitte” at Gerbergasse 30, during a piano concert. Switzerland, what a gem!
