My though exactly while crossing the River Duoro on Dom Luis I bridge in Porto, as well as in Lisbon and Sintra.
Is advised to always look ahead, literally and in life. When you are on this particular bridge, look also down. The view might surprise you.

Since Porto is the house to the Porto wines, you must cross the River Duoro to Vila Nova de Gaia to visit the wine lodges and also have a different perspective on the city.
There is something about Portugal! I think I need more azulejos in my life and is time to plan my return.
Other Portugal stories:
– Exploring Lisbon – pastel de nata, azulejos, miradouros, trams, fado, the Atlantic Ocean, and castles
– Belém – traveling back in the Age of Discoveries, more pastéis and fado
– Sintra and Cascais – day trips at castles and at the Atlantic Ocean from Lisbon
– First article from Porto – from Harry Potter to sweet pastel de nata and the salty Atlantic Ocean – my top recommendations for what to do, see or eat in Porto.
I enjoyed writing all stories, but my personal favorites must be the first one from Lisbon.
Obrigada,
Aida
