🎼 Vienna, the city of waltz, balls, classical music and traditional coffee houses. Beautiful, picture perfect and elegant. You see everywhere it used to be an imperial capital.
Plus, is impressive to think half of the world’s important classical music was composed in Vienna, at the time when Mozart, Beethoven or Strauss lived here.

Vienna’s Ringstrasse
Vienna’s famous Ringstrasse boulevard is home to many beautiful buildings and Music institutions – Wiener Stadtsopera (Vienna State Opera), Imperial Palace Hofburg, Konzerthaus, Musikverein, Rathaus & Burgtheather, among many other palaces.
Was the first time I visited Vienna in summer, after being previously always in winter. I felt happy and calm admiring these beautiful buildings, with a touch of Art Nouveau.

Walking tour
After visiting St Stephen’s Cathedral in Stephansplatz plus Graben area and Kärtnerstrasse shopping street, I continue on the Ring.
On the Ring, I walked from Albertinaplatz and Burggarten to Volksgarten, filled with roses and contemporary art at Theseustempel, through Heldenplatz until Hofburg Imperial Palace. So many cultural spaces per square meter! Nearby are Kunsthistorisches Museum, in Maria-Theresien-Platz, and Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, in Josefsplatz.

“The streets of Vienna are filled with culture.”
Karl Kraus, Austrian author
Dreams
Besides attending a Ball or New Year’s Concert at the Viennese Opera, the Summer Night Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic in front of Schönbrunn Palace is another bucket list for me.

Excellent coffee, music, cakes and sights
